About CE3!
Halo CE3 is about spotlight and showing off new content in custom edition.

2010
Pre-Show
CE3 was started in June 2010 when creators MatthewDratt and Slow Bullet came up with the idea. There idea was sloppy and was quickly thrown together. There were no rules or submission deadlines. Just hand in a video to Dratt or Bullet before July 16th. CE3 started with a thread on Halomaps forums. The reception hit with people thinking the idea was stupid, or since the thread was put up in June and the show was going to air in July, that people needed more time to work on trailers. CE3's youtube channel was left untouched until a few days before the show aired, a trailer was put up onto the channel. The trailer was received with mainly complaints. During this time, Rambo gave Blood Creek Campus to CE3 so they could use the stage located in one of the basements. The few days before the show was suppose to air, the community flooded in videos and trailers. Unorganized and rushed Dratt pulled together a 1 hour live show.
LiveStream
CE3 2010 aired July 16 at 8pm EDT. The stream suffered from low quality and audio-lag that was soon fixed after the show had to restart about 5 minutes in. In the middle of a storm, Dratt, who was streaming, almost had to delay the show due to an almost power-outage. CE3 2010 contained 19 projects and the show was 55 minutes long. Since the stream was rushed in a few days, the show was thought to be boring by those who attended the livestream.
Post-Show
All of the videos were posted to youtube in the matter of hours. The interviews were also posted on youtube in a 'podcast' style. Those who didn't attend the livestream and just watched the post-show on youtube thought CE3 was well executed and surprised by the decent amount of content.

2011
Pre-Show
Aware of the issues with the live stream for CE3 2010, production and test-streams for CE3 2011 started in early December 2010. Rules for CE3 2011 stricken and a cut-off date was set for submissions. Unlike the 1 month time for a creator to make something for the show in 2010, CE3 2011 was announced early and more time was set for a creator. CE3 2011 also was the first year that featured the CE3 Announcer, Bryan Cox. He did the voice overs for the previews and some parts of the live stream. Karasuro was brought onto the CE3 crew to stream the liveshow. Since there was now a one week before CE3 deadline, Dratt had more time to work and edit the show. Despite going on vacation this very same week, Dratt still managed to film and edit the entire CE3 2011 livestream in 4 days.
LiveStream
CE3 2011 aired July 8th 2011 at 8pm EDT. CE3 2011 was received overall well. CE3 2011 suffered from slight lag that happened at the beginning of the show, but was fixed within the first minute without having to restart. The show was thought to be tons better than CE3 2010. This year was also the first year that prizes were given out during the show. 1600 Microsoft points and 3 months Xbox live gold was given out during the 45 minute period. A poll on CE3's website after the livestream said a majority of people enjoyed CE3 and wanted another year of CE3.
Post-Show
CE3 2011 put all of the 13 videos onto youtube shortly after show aired. Not all of the interviews made it onto youtube though. The livestream itself was promised to be on youtube but wasn't actually put on until months after the show aired.

2012
Pre-Show
A few months after CE3 2011 Dratt announced that he was leaving the production of CE3 as his life got busy. Dratt instead wanted to focus on his other projects such as Takedown and Lumoria. An announcement on CE3's youtube channel on a podcast for CE3 2012 revelead that E3pO would take the spot of Dratt. Since E3pO would be hosting the livestream, Karasuro was kicked out from the production. M16 Assault was brought onboard to do cyborg animations. In June, E3pO lost internet contact and went missing for months. Left without an editor and no news about E3pO's return, as well as less than a month away from the show, Dratt was brought back onto the project to edit the show. Since E3pO took the stage with him when he left, ODST_Nick began working on modeling a new stage for CE3. In addition people started to complain about the air time being so late for Europeans. After debate and polls, the air time was moved to 4pm EDT on a Sunday. This will be the first year CE3 does not air Friday at 8pm EDT. Since Karasuro was no longer in the production crew, M16 Assault will be hosting the livestream this year. Throughout the final week before CE3 2012 will air, Dratt has publicly stated his dislike working with Slow Bullet. On Halomaps forums Dratt has stated that “Slow Bullet you are the worst host ever at reaching deadlines”. Dratt also threatened to leave the production of CE3 after this year because of issues with Slow Bullet.
LiveStream
CE3 2012 aired July 29th at 4pm EDT. The show was recieved incredibly well. The show accumulated 227 live views during the stream, making it the 2nd most watched CE3 behind CE3 2011. There was no issue of lag, or any issues dealing with the stream itself. After the stream aired, Slow Bullet went on air to give away 3 months of Xbox live in addition to the 1600 Microsoft points given out during the show. This year both Slow Bullet and MatthewDratt noticed the least amounts of complaints about the show. After the show aired MatthewDratt and Slow Bullet went on skype to have a little after party for CE3.
Post-Show
CE3 2012's post show hit immediately after the show aired. This included two releases, all of the trailers and videos, as well as the interviews. The stream itself was uploaded a few hours after the show aired. In the end, CE3 2012 was the best year for reception.

2013
Pre-Show
CE3 2013 is being planned to air July 20th or 21st. CE3 2013 also has a new arena-style stage in the works modeled by Renegade343. A first for the CE3 Crew, Kozakuu will be brought on to do art design, such as the logo, layouts, and other visual appearances. No other word about CE3 2013 has been stated and no other production on the show has begun.
